3/27/2023 0 Comments Matthew banks temple![]() ![]() In addition to her martial studies, Instructor Franckum is an active member of the Sacred Mountain Lion Dance Team as a dancer and musician.Īs a Certified Instructor in Southern Tiger & Crane and having began her training through the NAU Fit program, she believes Kung Fu is a wonderful martial art to learn for all ages and backgrounds. Previously, Instructor Franckum studied under Sifu Rick Frye in Prescott Valley and was given the honor of learning from Master Samuel Qwok. She is a First Degree Black Belt and is currently working toward her Second Degree in Northern Long Fist. Instructor Sarah Franckum has been training at Sacred Mountain under SiFu Banks since 2016. At 9 Dragons Kung Fu and at Sacred Mountain, he helped establish youth demonstration teams, which provide dedicated youth an opportunity not only to further their martial arts, but learn to become stewards of their community through regular fundraising activities for the local community. Sifu Banks is a strong advocate for community outreach, and has taught regular women’s self-defense seminars at university campuses throughout the state. Sifu Banks is a 34th generation disciple of Shaolin Temple. In addition, Sifu Banks holds the rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt) in Mukei Goshin Jutsu, accredited under Nin Sho Ryu karate, and has received training in numerous weapons systems, as well as Xing Yi Quan, Muy Thai, Tang Soo Do, Shotokan karate, Kenpo karate, and American boxing. ![]() Sifu Banks also trains in Chen Family Tai Chi and Shaolin Qi Gong, as well as nutritional guidance and health and wellness via Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). After moving to North Carolina, Matt met and married his wife Lisa, and the two currently live in North Raleigh, enjoying traveling and spending time with their dog, Bodhi.Matthew Banks has over twenty years training in the martial arts, and currently teaches Southern Shaolin Tiger Crane, Shaolin Northern Long Fist, Bagua Zhang, Wing Chun and 18 Buddha Palm, and Yang style Tai Chi. After graduating, he played professional baseball for a short period before heading to Temple University, where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree before obtaining a Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Originally from New Jersey, Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Columbia University. ![]() More recently, he has represented businesses with respect to debts ranging from $100,000.00 to $50,000,000.00 and has saved his clients tens of millions of dollars. The verdict was selected by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly as the #1 Defense Verdict of 2012. ![]() In May 2012, he won the first known jury verdict in North Carolina finding a Bank in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. Matt has spent a majority of his career prosecuting lender liability claims against banks and negotiating workouts of commercial debts. He has years of experience litigating matters in both state and federal court and has successfully tried several cases and arbitrations. Matt practices commercial litigation, condemnation, lender liability, medical malpractice, and personal injury law, representing clients throughout the Raleigh area and Eastern North Carolina. ![]()
